Since 2015, Yvonne & Ken Gardner have owned and personally managed Marpole Dog Walking & Boarding Service
We don’t have any employees because we want to give personal attention to each dog. We trust our owners to trust us with their precious puppies, and we take that seriously. That’s why we keep the pack small and friendly.

We have both had family dogs since we were born. Since getting married a few decades ago, we have shared our lives with Chato, a Lhasa Apso, and Shasta, a Lab/Golden Retriever

Dog Boarding

Your dog will live in our home as part of the family. At least one of us is with the pets 24/7. The dogs sleep in our bedroom – although not on the bed – and we have fun activities throughout the day. We typically have two or three dogs overnight. During the day, the overnight dogs mingle with the daycare pups. The rate is $70, plus GST, per night. If the pick-up on the last day is after 2:00 pm, there is another half-night ($35) charge.

Dog Daycare

Dogs are welcome to visit our pack during the day. Although our schedule is flexible, most dogs arrive around 9:00 or 10:00 am, and leave in the late afternoon. We are able to do some pick-ups and drop-offs for dogs who live nearby. Daycare includes a variety of activities that are suited to the abilities and interests of the individual dogs. The rate is $50, plus GST, per day. For more than eight hours, it is $60, plus GST.

Dog Walks

Whether your dog prefers a group walk or a private one, on leash or off leash, we can help. We usually pick up dogs at their homes. If you like, we can arrange a way to collect your dog at home when you are not there. If you prefer, you can meet us outside when we arrive. As with any of our services, we can do this on any day of the week. One-hour group walks are $40, plus GST. One-hour private walks are $50, plus GST.

Pet Transportation

Located just a few minutes from Vancouver International Airport (YVR), we are in a good position to help pets make flight connections. As well as just getting them from one plane to another, we can also offer overnight accommodation between flights. We can also transport pets to appointments with their groomers, vets, etc. For a price quote, please feel free to contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
