Eyes On Locke

Dr Tyler Brown graduated from the University of Western Ontario (UWO) with a Bachelor of Medical Science in 2008, a Masters of Science in mental illness research in 2010, and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2015.

After a short time at the Centre for Contact Lens Research in Waterloo, he has been seeing patients in the Hamilton region since 2015. Dr Brown offers full service optometric care that includes special interests in dry eye therapy, ocular disease, contact lenses, LASIK post-surgical management, and kids vision (including myopia control). He serves as Co-President of the Hamilton District Society of Optometrists (HDSO), and on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO).

When he’s not working, Dr Brown enjoys spending time hiking with his dog, curling, and cooking.
A graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry, Dr Christine Misener, Optometrist, practices broad scope primary care Optometry in Hamilton.

Areas of interest include eye exams, soft disposable contact lenses, anterior segment ocular disease, practice management, and family eye care. Dr Misener is also interested in Optometric service and has volunteered on eye care missions in Mexico and Haiti. She also provided eye care to athletes and coaches participating in the Pan Am Games in Hamilton, Ontario.

Dr Misener is passionate about looking for ways to grow her practice while providing the best possible eye care and products to her patients.

When not practicing Optometry, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and two children.
